Energywise insulation and heat pump funding

Now's the perfect time to get your home all warm, snug and dry, with the help of the Government funding made available through ENERGYWISE_TM and the Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart programme.

If you’re a homeowner or landlord whose home was built before 1 January 2000, and it isn’t as warm or energy efficient as you’d like, we’ve got some great news for you.

Carters have teamed up with Pink® Batts® and DVS® under the ‘Be Snug with Pink Batts’ programme to offer you ENERGYWISE_TM funding on Pink® Batts® insulation and Fujitsu heat pumps installed through PinkFit® and DVS® respectively.

Things you should know:

There are two separate subsidies available:
• 33% off the cost of retro-fitting ceiling and underfloor insulation in your home (up to a maximum of $1300 incl GST); and/or
• A one-off grant of $500 incl GST for an EECA-registered heat pump in the primary living area – once your insulation meets the level specified by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) – DVS® can assess this for you if you are unsure. A vapour barrier may also be required.

Because the funding is separate you can choose to upgrade your insulation now and purchase a heat pump at a later date, or you can purchase both now and combine the funding. However, insulation funding cannot go towards a heat pump installation or vice versa. Concrete floors and inaccessible ceiling areas do not need to be insulated.

How do I apply?

You can either:
• click on the Request for Assessment button below and fill in the form,
• or download a Request for Assessment form, fill it out and bring it instore to your local Carters,
• or head instore and fill out the form there.

Once we’ve received your completed Request for Assessment form, Carters will co-ordinate with PinkFit® and/or DVS® and they will be in touch to organise a measure and quote. You then take the quote/s into Carters and make your payment, less the ENERGYWISE_TM grant/s (saving up to $1800!). Carters will then organise PinkFit® and/or DVS® to contact you and make a time to install the relevant products in your home. Then all you need to do is enjoy your cosier, healthier home and make big savings on your energy costs!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENERGYWISE_TM FUNDING THROUGH CARTERS:

1. The customer must meet the EECA Eligibility criteria and have signed the quote/s before the subsidy/s can be granted.
2. The customer must pay Carters the quoted installed amount/s less the ENERGYWISE_™ grant value before the PinkFit® and/or DVS® installation job can be booked.
3. The contract for insulation and/or heat pump and installation will be between PinkFit® and/or DVS® and the customer.
4. Grant not valid with other Pink® Batts® or DVS® offers running instore.
