New Zealand Certified builders (NZCB)
New Zealand Certified Builders and CARTERS have been partnering for a number of years to bring you relevant LBP educational seminars and workshops to keep up with your ongoing learning requirements.

Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation
The BCITO provides qualifications for the building and construction sector, often via on-the-job training through an apprenticeship. You’ll find information on working with apprentices or ways to upskill.

Industry Training Association Building (ITAB)

ITABs provide polytechnic training for trade apprenticeships. You’ll find information on the programmes they offer and ways to train and upskill in your chosen trade.

Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE)
MBIE is the source of all building acts and controls. Ensure you are up to speed with all codes and industry practices, by referring to the MBIE site for policy updates that effect your business.

Licensed Building Practitioner

The building industry licensing scheme that ensure builders are highly competent in essential carrying out building work that is essential to the weather tightness and structure of building projects. Find details on how to get licensed, stay licensed and record your learning activities.

Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ)
The independent authority on building product research and testing, BRANZ’s website offers information on all their services and activities, plus you can access their bookshop and get free information and advice.

The New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) is a professional membership association that uniquely represents practitioners who are involved in the Design, Documentation, and Delivery of construction projects, or those engaged in a related field. The Institute undertakes projects and encourages high performance within the construction industry, raising standards and productivity; representing the construction industry and lobbying on its behalf; fostering construction research and innovation; engages with Government and provides quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events for the construction industry.

New Zealand’s primary Health & Safety regulator. You can gain information on mandatory site safety policies and recommendations on best practice to keep you and your crew safe onsite.

New Zealand Property Council
Property Council an advocate for New Zealand’s largest industry - property. This not-for-profit organisation, connects over 10,000 property professionals, championing the interests of over 560 member companies who have a collective $50 billion investment in New Zealand property. Their broad membership base includes some of the largest commercial and residential property owners and developers in New Zealand and they offer events, training and networking opportunities throughout the year.
